GJLOP is pleased to announce that 8 more of our alumna are now proud members of the Poway High School Girls Lacrosse program.
The freshman got ready for the season by playing fall sports such as volleyball, cross country, and travel lacrosse; participating in winter box lacrosse; and coordinating focused group workouts in the weeks leading up to tryouts. They knew what was expected of them on the field and worked hard to make that happen.
Elissa and Erin made varsity, while Emily, Elaina, Rowan, Kendall and two others are on JV.
"I'm so happy for my 'lacrosse daughters'," said Anastasia Farrell, GJLOP Program Manager, and mom to Rowan. "They've played rec and club lacrosse together for many, many seasons. I'm delighted their hard work has paid off."
"The JV coaches are really excited for this season," added Nicole Yorba, GJLOP coach and PHS Girls Lax keeper coach.
Last spring, PHS Girls Lacrosse was ranked number 5 in California and number 13 in the nation, and made it to the CIF championship game, losing to Torrey Pines. GJLOP is proud to be a rec lacrosse program in its own right as well as a feeder team for Poway High School's Girls Lacrosse program.
